S A M H A I N
Hello beautiful goddess. You are warmly invited to step through the veil, savor a harvest-season meal, sip tea, and gather in sisterhood while reconnecting with the ancient self within.
Before we get into the details of our evening together, I’d love to begin by telling you a bit about Samhain.
Samhain (pronounced SAH-win) is an ancient Celtic festival that marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter — traditionally celebrated on October 31 through November 1.
It’s one of the four great fire festivals of the Celtic year, and was seen as a time when the veil between the worlds of the living and the ancestors was thinnest. People would light bonfires, honor the dead, and mark the turning of the year into its darker half.
Over time, many Samhain traditions blended into what we now know as Halloween (like costumes, jack-o-lanterns, and honoring the spirits). Present day Samhain is still celebrated as:
A time of remembrance- honoring ancestors and loved ones who have passed.
A seasonal threshold- the final harvest and the symbolic “new year” in the Celtic calendar.
A ritual of release- letting go of what is finished, to make space for what is being born.
A fire festival- bonfires and candle rituals are central, symbolizing both protection and renewal.

You are welcome to bring a small item that reminds you of a departed loved one, to hold during tea and the fire ritual if you wish. If you don’t have an item, simply carry a memory, a name, or your heart’s remembrance.
Wearing black is encouraged as a way to honor Samhain’s ancient traditions. But also! Make sure you are your most comfy cozy.
